Booking change/keep reservations?

So we are going in February. I plan to book our room as soon as rates become available, in part so I will be able to make ADRs at 180 days. I also want to get the best price possible on a room, but according to Mousesavers, historically discounts are not published for our time period until like October/November. However, we have two scenarios. My parents are coming with us. My brother hasn't yet decided. He is testing my patience by waiting till the last minute to decide. If he does not come, we will all be sharing an AoA suite, so no problem there, as discounts do become available for those rooms and I can call when discounts are released and have one applied to our room.

But, if he does come, I will need to book 2 LM rooms. I know discounts for those rooms are highly unlikely through Disney. I have learned on these boards though that I may be able to get a discount through Orbitz. Of course, that would mean waiting to book until discounts are announced in the fall.

If I were to book the rooms in July, make my ADRs, and then rebook the rooms through Orbitz in the fall with the discount and cancel my Disney booking, would I still have my ADRs? My kids really want to do breakfast at Akershus and I want to get a reservation for Be Our Guest.

Yes, you would still have your ADRs if you cancelled your resort reservation. One doesn't have anything to do with the other, except when you book at the 180 day mark, when you can book up to 10 days after your arrival day if you are staying onsite.
