Booking - borrowing? Do I have this right?

I have been trying to figure out banking and borrowing for over an hour now and I need help. I get hung up on Use Year. Thank you in advance for your help...

Lets assume I have 100 points for each year. My use year is Oct. Each trip will not exceed my 100 points.

I have all my points for Oct 12, Oct 13, Oct 14. Is this how it will work?

Oct 2012 points for April 2013 (home resort stay )

Oct 2013 points for June 2013 (Aulani resort- not home resort)

Oct 2014 points for Feb 2014 (home resort stay)


Can I go ahead and book my home resort April trip 2013 now and the at the 7 month mark in a couple of months book my Aulani 2013 trip? If so, can I then book my Feb 2014 trip in March of 2013 or will I be borrowing twice in one use year?

I'm so confused. I really appreciate the help.

Your 2012 use year runs 10/1/12 to 9/30/13. Any trips in that period can use 2012 points or borrowed 2013 points. You can't use 2014 points for that time period.
Your first two trips fall in the 2012 use year. Your third trip falls in your 2013 use year, so you would need to use 2013 points or borrow from 2014. (or banked 2012 points. But I don't think that would be relevant in your situation)

When you book has nothing to do with it. You can always book at 11 months (home) and 7 months or less (non home) from your trip dates. You don't need the points available on the day you book, only for the dates of your trip.
