Hello, I have booked 3 nights at BLT through dvc rentals but the first night was unavailable. If I book the extra night through Disney in the same room category can the bookings be linked so we won't have to change rooms after the first night.
Also I have read somewhere about "locked in" rooms (I think thats what it was called). what are these and how do I know if I have one?

You can't link the reservation made with points and the other made through CRO, they are from two different systems.

Lockout villas are studio and one-bedroom villas with a connecting door that can be made into a two-bedroom villa.

When booking a 2br villa, there are two different booking categories, '2br' and '2br lockoff' The 2br has one entrance to the villa, Master BR + BR with 2Q. A lockoff is a 1br villa + studio, so two entrances to the villa, and the second BR has 1Q + pull out sofa.

If it doesn't specifically note lockoff, you have a dedicated (2Q) room. You can always ask to clarify.

You will have to check out and check in again and you may have to move from the first room to the second. When you check into the first, see if you are blocked into the first room for the second reservation. They might be able to do this if you are not already blocked into the room. But it depends on your reservation (lockoff vs dedicated) (lake view vs standard vs theme park view).

While the 2 reservations can't be linked, it can't hurt to call & have a note added to both reservations that references the other and then, make mention of it again when you check in.
