Booking BLT for New Year's Eve

I have a question about the demand for villas at BLT for New Year's Eve. Does the entire resort book up exactly at the 11 month window? If so, how soon? Are we talking a matter of minutes, hours, days or weeks?

Also, if I wanted to say from December 30 for a week am I going to miss out on availability because people are staying on New Year's at the end of their stay instead of the beginning (thus allowing them to book earlier than me).

As of right now, the whole building is booked for Dec 31. All rooms in all categories have no availability. The whole week starting Jan 1 however is available for a 2 bdr Lake View.

I don't own at BLT, but I have booked BWV for the NYE period for 4 years now. I usually begin my stays on December 29 and I have always called right at 9 AM on January 29. Now that we have on line booking, I'll be on line at 8 since that's when that opens up. I have always wanted standard view, either a studio or 2 bedroom and I have always gotten it. So, if my experience carries over to BLT, I'm guessing that you will not be shut out for a December 30 check in. At BWV, people have been shut out if they've waited even a few days after their 11 month window.

I would make a reservation at your home resort for your dates and then waitlist for BLT if that is what you want. I had good luck with waitlists last year - I was able to get a Value 1-bedroom at AKV Jambo for Christmas day to fill out a reservation, and was able to get a BCV studio for two nights over NYE.
