Has booking dates become very diffcult? I can't seem to find any dates avaliable now through March. I can't make it to Disney this year so thought I would rent my points. The Disney people just say well you'll have to book 11 months in advance at your home resort or 7 months at other resorts.

When did they start charging $95 to use Disney Collection. I like staying at Cabins but never had to pay before.

What are the new rules with banking points. My points end in March did I miss the banking point period.

I'm getting very frustrated.

All the changes have be in mailers through out the last year or so. Anything out of network including Disney collection is $95 and its been like that for a little while now.

You banking deadline for 100% of your points should be by the end of November....someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Except for the Disneyland hotels. Members do not have to pay the $95 fee to use their points there...although that will probably change once the Grand Californian villas are open. At that point we will probably not be able to book GC rooms on points (only the villas) and will be charged the $95 to book rooms at the other DL hotels. But, again, for now there is no charge to use points there.

The need for planning ahead to book has increased in the last 3-4 years but those that are flexible and know the system can still be successful much of the time.

Developer's Points as a sales incentive certainly haven't helped bookings either. I know these points have to come from somewhere, but still... :confused3

Do remember in May, Kidani will start to open.

Yah, I still think that the developer points are banked points that the developers owned prior to SSR units selling out. Does create a short-term availability issue. (I do not think that they really let banking/borrowing get completely out of whack, the developer poitns were probably offessing a general borrowing trend by members)

However, if you look at the bigger picture, within a year or so, we'll have Kidani, BLT, and THV and GCV adding a huge additional amount of inventory into the system!
