Booking at Wyndham BC

Just curious if anyone has any advice for booking a 2BR condo at W-BC June 30 - July 7. I've sent a couple of emails over the last few days, but it seems impossible to get anyone to reply (and calling is difficult as their opening hours are mainly overnight/office hours in Australia).

The hotel sites (hotels.com, expedia etc) show no availability for the first night, but the Wyndham website direct does.

The website offers two rates: 'Standard' and 'Book Now & Save'. When I look at the "Terms and Conditions" for both rates, they appear identical -- both taking full payment up front and allowing cancellation up to 3 days before the day of arrival. However "Book Now & Save" is priced at $198.90/night, whilst Standard Rate is $234 a night. Does anyone know the difference between these rates? Do they take full payment up-front for both?

Also if anyone knows a way to get cheaper rate / recommendations for requests advice would be gratefully received.

(The other option we were considering for a Condo is Worldquest, who have replied to emails very promptly, but have a limited shuttle schedule and we won't have a car. Also looked at the Hilton DD and Radisson Celebration which worked out about the same for 2 rooms as the condo).

Nobody with any idea? Is telephone the only way to get an answer from Wyndham?

I know we're leaving it late, but it's a week break between two work trips (in LV and NYC) so has all been very last minute.

Most people on the boards don't book through wyndham unless they are members. They either go through several travel agencies where they get a very good price or ebay. Weare members and book through Wyndham at 1-888-884-4321. If you are not a member I think you will do better to check out the We love Bonnet Creek Thread and there are several recommendations of who to book with for a great price.

Great advice. Also look for threads talking about renting at Bonnet Creek -- I think there are several. I am also a Wyndham member, so I haven't used any of the rental companies, but from the posts I've seen on some of these threads, I think you can get a 2 BR for $600-$800 for a week.

We stayed at BC last month, and it's a beautiful resort.

Good luck!

Also, if you are talking about June 30 THIS YEAR, you are REALLY late and possibly out of luck.

I don't see any availability that week. There are a couple of 2 BRs checking in on June 26 for 7 nights, but both of those involve changing rooms during your stay...which means there are no 2 BRs available for seven consecutive nights.

If you're talking about NEXT year, your timing is perfect, because Wyndham BC owners can book now for June 30, 2012.

Thanks for the responses. Yes it is this year, I know it's late but it's tacked on to a last minute work trip.

I e-mailed Ken and they have no availability -- the Wyndham / Extra Holidays site does (at a higher price), so presumably they hold some inventory back to sell direct.

I also got a quote from Vacation Strategy who seem to have availability, but beyond the 1 thread here with a lot of 1-post posters I couldn't find *anything* about them through Google etc..

Cheaper than the Wyndham site, but still kind of high IMO Lori with Sun or Snow has those dates on her last minute deals. Have you checked with her? I have used her 3 times, she is great to work with, though not always the cheapest.

Good luck! I have priced out stuff with Farrell also though never used him. Was having issues iwth his email when he last quoted me which took a while for him to get back with me. Check with him again. Several people have used him.

Good luck...because its a holiday here, you know might be too late, but you never know!

OP -- if someone has the dates you are looking for, you'd better jump on it quick.

Fifteen days from arrival the Wyndham owner loses all the points whether they use the reservation or cancel. Today is only 20 days out, so they'll be canceling pretty soon if they don't rent it.

Thanks all; I have sent Sun or Snow an e-mail to check. Will be happy to save whatever -- if I can't get the 2BR condo we'll need two hotel rooms, and at the places I'd consider they start at $1446 (Hilton downtown Disney). I think places like Worldquest & Radisson Celebration will be too much of a hassle with transportation.

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about using Vacation Strategy to book a room at Wyndham Bonnet Creek?

I ended up booking through Laura @ Sun & Snow. I couldn't find anything about Vacation Strategy which made me nervous, though they were cheaper.

Glad you were able to find something. Laura is great to work with, enjoy your trip!

Check out the Vacation Strategy.com website. They are wonderful to work with. Very reasonable prices too.
