How do you do it !?!?!?!?!?!

We are coming from Vancouver, Canada. Alaska Airlines travels from here but when I try to build my vacation with them this hotel is not an option. Nor is it on Expedia or Hotels. Ca. All the stuff I have from the travel agency doesn't have the Candy Cane Inn as a package option either. I did a basic search and got no where either. Please help me !!!!!!!!!!!!! :confused3

Hi There!

It is never on any of the hotel websites...I think it is family owned. I am from Parksville and we always stay there, too. The website is www.candycaneinn.net. We are not staying there this year because I got such a good rate at HOJO'S and because of all the positive reviews we are going to try that hotel this time. If you have BCAA, you can get Candy Cane for $80.00 US a night. I was able to get HOJO'S for $58.00 US a night so I am willing to try it, also their customer service has been awesome everytime I've spoken with them. I am really looking forward to our stay there. Good luck and any more questions, I'm more than happy to answer, like I said, we've stayed at Candy Cane many times.

We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn this week and it was nice. Price was a bit high since it's spring break but it was an excellent value. The staff was very nice. Rooms were clean. I've heard similar good things about the HoJo. The CCI is about a few feet closer walk, I think.

I have a question about booking our trip to DS , did you book on your own or through a travel agent, there are 9 of us going in early Oct, and I would like to stay at the candy cane inn, but cant find much info on it also. when you stayed there did you book online? which is the best way to go for flights and hotel ? I am trying to gather as much info as I can thanks

Jumping in here. I'm on the lower mainland too -in Richmond. I always book all the components of my trip separately. It's been much cheaper every time.
We have been staying at the Comfort Inn Maingate and love it. We'll be staying there again in September when we go. We're staying there for a week and we have suites booked with a kids room included. The price is very reasonable (my sister is going in August and has $65.00 US a night) and a continental breakfast is included. We found the ART very handy there.
At Christmas, I took a group from work and stayed at the Howard Johnson. It was clean and nice but did not have adjoining rooms or breakfast included. I'd certainly stay there again if I needed to be within walking distance. If you book there, be sure to check out the AAA rate (extended to BCAA members too) and the mousesavers discount. Every penny saved helps with the Canadian dollar falling again.
Have a great trip!!
Lydia

My mom, sister and I stayed at the CCI last November and booked on their website with no problem. They sent us a confirmation in the mail. We really enjoyed our stay there. We had a deluxe room with 2 queens. It was clean and close to DL. We usually walked in the morning to DL and took the private CCI shuttle back to the hotel every evening. We enjoyed the breakfast everyday by the pool. I think we paid $85.00 a night using AAA. We would go back again, for sure!

DH & I will be staying at CCI July 20-23. I booked throught Dreams Unlimited through this website. My DU travel consultant is the famous Mary Jo from this forum. They can check rates and offer trip planning advice through e-mail. I am so excited about our trip.

I am also from bc, and since you have done this before maybe you could answer some of my questions? I will look into the comfort inn, when you got your disney park tickets , where did you get them? I looked into mousesavers and it seems to be quite a bit cheaper then what the travel agents quoted me. also about the transfer from lax to hotel? thanks for the info from before, I have found these sites to be very helpful!

Just wanted to clarify bclydia's post. The HoJo does have adjoining rooms. They may not have had any available for her/their stay, but HoJo definitely has them. I have stayed in adjoining/connecting rooms in bldg 2.

The only downside to the HoJo vs Candy Cane is HoJo doesn't have breakfast.
