You are all a wealth of information :flower:

I've been lurking and am set on the CSR for our late January vacation. One of the gals here has an amazing website that completely sold me on the resort.

It sounds like it's rather large. Can you recommend the best area to request upon booking? It will be me, dh, and 2 & 4 yr old children. We'll probably spend a decent amount of time at the hotel chilling and squeezing in naps. So maybe close to pool/playground/food if that's possible.

Thanks!!

We are also going with two little kids in July. I have heard that Cabanas 9b is the most convenient. It is close to the food/lobby and the pool.

Welcome and you made an awesome choice!

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge. Most convenient, most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casita 4 has the gym, spa and quiet pool. Close to the main building with a bit longer walk to the main pool. Casita 2 & 3 have great fountains and courtyards and are closer to the main building and further from the main pool. Casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

CSR now offers an internal shuttle system so there is no walking if you don't want to walk. Just wait at the designated stops and a shuttle cart will bring you to and from the main building to your room.

Yay, we're booked!! I am excited beyond words. This will be my huband's first trip to WDW. Can you believe it? I don't think he has any idea what he's in for. We're staying at the CSR from 1/23 to 1/29. I booked the park-hopper pass with it. Is that the best way to go or is there a way to get a better deal on that? It was $666.70 for a 5-day pass for 2 adults and 1 child.

Thanks again.

You will LOVE CSR!!! The most convenient room when we stayed there was in cabanas 9B. Little walking to the pool and El Centro, so your little ones should be OK. If you are going to be staying 6 nights, and since it's only $3.19 more, why not get the tickets for 6 days instead of 5. For the little differnce it would be worth it in case you decide you want to go to the parks every day...Just a thought. :flower:

Here's a photo of Cabana 9B that I took just recently, as well as a couple of other Cabana photos.

We stayed at 9B and LOVED it. It was a very, very, very, short walk to El Centro and to bus stop #1 and just a few minute walk to the Dig Site (big pool).

I faxed my request for Cabana 9B over 4 days before my arrival. It seemed to work for me. :)

This is a photo of Cabana 9B and a photo of the other cabanas.

Wow:) It looks beautiful. I can't wait to go. I asked them to put us in 9B but she said she can't gaurantee it. I think I'll try your tactic when it gets closer to that time. Thanks!!

Thanks for your posts. I'm going to be @CSR for the first time 11/2006 and now know what bldg. I'll request. Thanks, again, for the info and beautiful photos.
