I have always stayed at the resorts during the off peak times of the year. I want to take my family next year after Christmas through New Years and the first week of January.

Any tips on booking a 1BR unit at VWL this time of year with the 11 month window?

Thanks.

Since the week between Christmas and New Years is one of the busiest weeks at WDW, both for the parks and DVC, I would definately book day by day. We generally go during summer or Christmas week, and own at BWV. Since our first trip, I have booked standard view at BWV, which is less points, but rooms in that category are limited. I call day by day. It's not too bad, and SO FAR all the CM's I have talked to (which is a fairly good size number) have always been very accomodating, and are used to people booking day by day for busy times or BWV standard views. I'm WAY too Type-A to wait until 11 mo from checkout, and my DH would probably have a heart attack if we had to move during our stay. VWL owners may have more info for you, and you may be able to book some rooms in Jan without calling daily, but I would still call daily for 12/21-12/31. Christmas season at WDW is wonderful. Good luck. Gayle
