Booking Air fare need to use two differnt credit cards question.

I need to book airfare for four people.
I need to use two different credit cards. (long story )

I am trying to decide if I should book one way flights for all four
or two separate round trips for two and two. I am worried that if I do two and two the second booking may not be available .
Any I over thinking this ?

Any one have advice??

Why not do it the old fashioned way and call the customer service rep and ask her to split it between two cards.

I believe that some airlines now charge you extra to book using a live person.

When I had to do something similar using points for 1 way and credit card for the return and RT for the rest they waived the fee to book over the phone. But I'm sure it depends on the airline. Worth calling to ask though.

I did this and just had two screens open. i bought the flight down with one card and the flight home with the other. I had both flights selected and was in the screen where I enter the information so I knew I had seats on the two flights I wanted.
