Im coming up to our 180 and i have a tweleve digit number but wondering if it will work as we dont have one of the new references

Any ideas for those who have made adrs lately

Hi,
I made mine last week using a 3 letters and 5 number ref. I got this by phoning wdw. Is it worth ringing them to ask them for the 8 digit reference number so you are prepared for booking?
Rachx

Yep i was hoping someone would come on and say just call wdw

Will give them a call tomorrow

We also have a 12 digit number, we have been able to retrieve our reservation on the USA Disney World site, we are hoping we can make the ADR,s from this site and link them with the accommodation.

Mine didn't work, but I thought they'd fixed it since I booked around 5 months ago (jeez, that's flown!!!)

You can still make reservations on the wdw website without a reference number, just means it won't be linked o your dining plan. But I've never had a problem doing it this way.

You will still get an email confirmation and confirmation number.

I booked via CO, they couldn' get me the new format res number, WDW couldn't give me it, I had to ring and book many of mine that needed deposits or upfront payments, rest I did online without linking to my hotel.
If you booked direct with WDW you should get the new format res number OK.

Just replied in other thread, thats OK for basic restaurants and how I have booked some but no use for others.

Hi,

I booked with Thompsons and only had the 12 digit number - called the freephone number and made all my adrs on the 180 + 10 day rule.

i haven't been able to link all my adrs but i do have reservations at the restaurants i wanted...

I've just crossed the 180 days mark, but I'm bummed.
Quite a few ADRs are not bookable for the moment ...

TRex shows no availabilty
No Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Party either
No F! package either.

I don't know for TRex but for the other 2 I know they'll be available in a few weeks/months, but currentely there are holes in my first 10 days planning

Anybody's got an idea about TRex ?
I seem to have seen someone talking about making the ressies over the phone, but I just don't want to phone the US with my operator (cash cow I am)

Ring T Rex direct! They didn't have anything between and 16:00 and 21:00 online, but we got a table for 7 at 19:00 when we rang. It's not Disney owned, so they have only a small amount of tables to assign through ADRs.

Hi do you have the number for TREX? as im really wanting to get a lunchtime ressie for our going home day, just want to cheer the boys up abit :rotfl2:

Managed to find my booking online with disney so hoping all should be ok but have free calls to usa through sky so if i have to call wont be so bad

I called the freephone number for booking from the UK to make ADRs, which is 0800 16 90 730 (connects you to Disney in the States) and they were very helpful, but I don't think they could find our accommodation booking using the 12 digit number Virgin had given me.

I had already made one ADR online previously, and I clicked the link in the confirmation email I got for that one, to get it up online, and then I could add my 'missing' accommodation booking, and find all the other ADRs booked over the phone, and link them all together.

Hope your bookings are a little easier than that. :)

Ah I was a bit concerned as I just called up and asked for my reference number to link online, and instead of a 12 digit number I was given a 3 letter/5 digit code. From reading this, it appears this is the new, correct format now?
Only, when I go to My Reservations, it asks for a Booking Reference and Surname, and that doesn't work.
Otherwise via the Dining site, I get to a Confirm Your Reservation page, after logging in via my email address and password, and it asks for Confirmation, Last Name and Arrival Date, but won't allow an arrival date longer than 180 days, so I can't check if it is correct. :confused3

I have been told by Disney (UK & US) that the 8 digit ref number is only given when you book your holiday direct with Disney. The 12 digit number is for wholesale bookings i.e. made with companies like Virgin Holidays. VH have confirmed that the 12 digit number is the only number that they have received from Disney. This 12 digit number doesn't allow you to link your dining plan if you try to do it online at the 180 day mark even if you can access your Disney accommodation reservation.
As previous posters have said the only way you can do the 180+10 is to phone Disney at the 180 day mark. I know there is a free phone 0800 No which is 0800 16 90 730 and as a previous poster said gets you through to US Disney dining reservations. If you ring at 12 o'clock you should get through straight away, I did and it took about 20 minutes to do my reservations.
