Booking ADRs- Staying offsite

Much to my dismay, we are staying offsite. A relative has a timeshare and we are getting a two bedroom condo because we are bringing along my MIL.

If I want to book an ADR, do I need to do it day by day (90 days ahead) for the trip?

We are going November 6-13th, so I am hoping that it won't be terribly difficult to get a few good ADRs to show MIL a good time.

We last stayed on site during Free Dining and got everything except Le Cellier.

Any chance that using a TA will help us?

Thanks!

You will need to call 90 days out from each day you want a reservation.

A TA couldn't help change that - only on-site guests get the +10/one phone call thing, whether you use a TA or not.

You might want to wait until you last ADR date and just make one call 90 days from that day for all of them - that can work if you don't have anything overly difficult to get.

Yes, you will have to book each ADR at 90 days or less.

If you stay on site can you call 100 days ahead?

We're looking to keep it simple this time. Planning to try some of the less crazy character meals and maybe the Biergarten.

I'd love to take DD to CRT, but I'm not expecting to get that.

You will need to call each 90th day since you are staying offsite. I think you will have good luck that week though, even with CRT! If you used a TA to book the condo, you may be better off letting him/her also book your ADR's each day so that way you don't have to do the calling each day. On the other hand, by then it looks like you will be able to do it online so that might not be as bad.

I was able to get all the ADR's we were really interested in, even during this busy free dining fiasco, so I bet you will be just fine!!!!!!!!!!!

The 90+10 rule for onsite guests allows them to make all their ADRs with only one phone call. At exactly 90 days out from their check in date, they can call and make ADRs for the entire trip (up to 10 days). For guests staying offsite, they must call everyday at the 90 day mark from the day they want and then they can make reservations for that day (and any day preceeding that day--just not after that day). In your case, you can either call everyday and make an ADR for that 90th day out or wait until 90 days out from your last day and then try to make ADRs for your entire trip. Hope I didn't just confuse you more. Basically the 90+10 perk for onsite guests gives them a slight advantage over offsite guests, because they are allowed to make reservations for toward the end of their trip, before offsite guests are even given a chance for those ADRs.

For example I'll be staying onsite at WDW Sept 26th-Oct 4th. I believe my 90 day mark is June 28th. I'll be able to call on June 28th and get ADRs for the entire week, whereas if you were going during that same time frame, you'd only be able to make an ADR for Sept 26th on June 28th, then you'd have to call back the next day to get an ADR for Sept 27th, then call the next day to get one for Sept 28th, and so on. I would have been able to make an ADR for Oct 4th a full nine days before you could even try.

As a previous poster said though, with the time frame you are going you should still be able to get most of your ADRs (probably not CRT, Le Cellier, or a Fantasmic pkg, but just about everything else).

to get Biergarten. I would definitely try CRT. You probably won't get breakfast before the park opens but a later breakfast or lunch are still very probable. Personally, I like the lunch there.

We will be there Sept 29-Oct 6th. I wonder if it will be busy. Most kids should be in school (I hope)

Thanks so much. We stayed offsite once, but booked our trip late and only booked two character meals, so I didn't remember how it worked.

I was thinking about CRT and my daughter is still a bit afraid of characters, so it is probably best to hold off until our trip in 2010 when we will definitely be staying on property.
