Hello Everyone,
This is my first post but I wanted to give info to help others. I had researched a lot about ADR's especially since COVID so that I would be prepared. Had booked them before (about 5 years ago) so I wasn't sure what to expect and I discovered that reading posts on the board was helpful so I just want to pay it forward. Our 60 day window opened a week ago. We are going for 10 days on Disney property so I got to take advantage of the full 60+10. We got everything we wanted booked except for Space 220 on day 3 of our trip. I want to be clear, we knew that was a long shot and the only reason day three is because it was my son's birthday that day. We showed him video's of restaurants and he liked Space 220 and Coral Reef the most. Coral Reef was our backup and we booked it with no problems. Space 220 was open at the end of our trip but we really didn't want to pay for it because it has not received the best reviews and I will live just fine without going there on this trip. Okay, so I will list below the restaurants and what days we were able to book them. Extra information before the list...we have a group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids total). We did get up at 5:45am EST and we had tabs open for each restaurant ready to go and started clicking refresh at 5:59am. With that in mind here is the list and the day on our trip when we got them.
Day 60+3: Coral Reef: Tried for Space 220 for dinner and lunch and it was all booked and instead got Coral Reef . We had to do 3 separate bookings to secure the restaurant but it was not very booked up. (For dinner)
Day 60+4: Tusker House: 7 in the group (the other 5 didn't want to go) can't remember if there were a lot of reservations available but we didn't have to split them and we got an ideal time. (For breakfast)
Day 60+4: California Grill: 2 people in our group got a 7:30p. (For dinner)
Day 60+5: Garden Grill: 7 in the group (the other 5 didn't want to go) it was wide open. (For dinner)
Day 60+6: BOG: All 12, had to split this into three groups to make it happen but was pretty open when splitting into three groups. (For dinner)
Day 60+7: Chef Mickey's: 7 in the group (the other 5 didn't want to go) it was wide open. (For breakfast)
Day 60+7: Yachtsman: 2 people, it was wide open. (For dinner)
Day 60+8: Topolino's Terrace All 12, split into 3 reservations was open but not super open but there were enough to make it happen together. (For breakfast)
Day 60+9: CRT: All 12, split into 3 reservations it was wide open. (For dinner)
Day 60+10: Ohana: All 12 split into 2 reservations it was wide open. (For dinner)
We also booked beaches and cream for our last day for a group of 7. That one is hard to get because it is so small.
What I learned from my research and experience was if you have a larger group split it into multiple reservations. Also, obviously put the hardest to get ones at the end of the trip like Space 220 Topolino's CRT, BOG. Now as I said before Space 220 was open later on in the trip but we didn't want to spend the money and the only reason we tried early on is because it is our son's birthday. Hope someone finds this helpful. If you have any questions let me know and I will try to answer them.
