Booking ? AAA or Disney

What would be better, I booked a 2B/2B villa SSR for January 13-21, I can get a discount with AAA, but I have never booked with anyone but Disney, is there any reason not to book with AAA, I can save almost $900. What should I do???

Did you book a package or a room only? If it's room only, you can ask Disney to apply your AAA discount directly.

If you want a package, though, you have to go through AAA to get their discount.

We booked a package deal, so I would have to get a different ressie with AAA, then cancal out the Disney one. Is AAA fine, can we still do requests and use the magical express? Has anyone had problems with AAA? Thanks for any help!

I think the most inexpensive way to stay in a DVC villa is to rent points from an owner. It saves you a huge amount of money.

You don't have to cancel your existing booking- you can transfer it to AAA by putting all the info (booking #, names, package details, etc) in a letter format and state you want to transfer it to AAA, then fax it to your AAA travel agent. They'll send it to Disney. We booked with Disney, then got a quote later from AAA that was about $315 less, but I didn't want to lose our original booking (we got a king at POR, and we might not get one if we cancelled.)

We have a MYW pkg that we bought and paid in full through Disney. I was told I couldn't get the AAA discount too. However, it would have been nice if he told me I needed to book through AAA to get the discount.
Is it too late to get the discount through AAA if I already paid Disney in full? Thanks.

Ok, I got the answer from AAA. Even though I'm paid in full I can still transfer over to AAA.

I did book my package with AAA. Just be aware that once you book your pckg with AAA, you do not have "ownership" of that package. Any changes, requests or discounts you want to apply have to go through your AAA TA. You can not call Disney directly to do any of that. If you book room only with your AAA rate with Disney directly, you still have ownership of your reservation.

We did end up changing to AAA for our January trip, but we saved almost a $1000! So I'm just keeping my fingers crossed all goes well.
