Booking a villa

We're planning a trip to Orlando next August and I have been busy researching villas.

We stayed in a villa on our last trip in 2006 and we had a good holiday but we were a little disappointed with the villa. We were there in April/May and the pool heat didn't work. There was a leak in the pool apparantly and every time the water went below a certain level the heating turned off and had to be reset. We contacted the management company who didn't show up for about a week and then they told us to just keep the water hose on - in the pool all the time to keep the pool topped up. Such a waste!

Anyway we were there for 17 very busy days so were out a lot of the time. This time we are going for 4 weeks with the intention of having more rest days/time at the villa.

I am doing all the bookings and would really like everything to be as good as possible.

I only want to deal in British pounds - don't want to be worrying about exchange rates etc. I have found a couple of villas that I like but don't want to book until we have flights booked and can be firm on dates. I have decided as well on Windsor Hills.

Any thoughts/comments/advice/info....greatly appreciated

Hi,

All the Management Companies we have dealt with have been great and always on hand should any problems arise, a lot you will also find are British.

For them not to show up for a week is in my experience surprising and like you say not satisfatory either.

Windsor Hills though we have not stayed there is definitely one of the best villa developments and also well located.
It's a very sound choice but probably more expensive than many of the other villa offerings in the Kissimmee area, so it's nice but will cost you slightly more than if you stayed elsewhere.

We are staying on Windsor Hills this October for 3 wks, there have been loads of new larger properties come online in the last 12 months so numbers should be on your side when it comes to negotiation in addition to the fact you are there for 4 wks. As far as price goes we didnt really have to fight for a price as i advised my budget and jayne the owner was happy to accept as we were their 1st booking. fill in the forms on the online sites and record all replies to put yourself in a position to negotiate. windsor hills looks fantastic, so close to disney and a gated community. pm me to get some more info about the place we got, good place to start :)

thanks for that.......I know that it is really simple but so long since I did it......how do you do a pm?
