Hey folks

Have a friend who is looking to find info on booking a villa - I've no idea as I've only ever done hotels - can someone please suggest some possible sites to look at - it is for Mid-June to early July.

Thanks!!! :earsboy:

We have booked a villa for the past few years.

The sites we have used are:
www.holiday-rentals.com
www.villas2000.com
www.vr360homes.co.uk

I think the best areas are just off the 192 in Kissimmee and can highly recommend Indian Creek and Cumbrian Lakes - both are within easy reach of restaurants/supermarkets/Disney and the I4.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. :)

Hi Guys,

We are off to the magic for 3 weeks in August school holidays, had a look the villa rental sites above. We have been offered a 3 bedroomed villa with all the usual stuff plus pool heat & spa (I know, should not need it in August but kids love it hot!). It is on a place called Weston Hills, not somewhere we have been before. Anyone know what this community is like? Price is £560 per week - again not been for a few years, is this a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance

We are going for 3 weeks in August also.

I have heard of Weston Hills but have never stayed there.
It is on the US27 which personally would not be my ideal location, just my opinion.

I also think the price is a bit steep , you can get a lovely rental home for at least £60 per week less, and also a possible reduction (from some owners anyway) because you are going for a lengthy stay.

Sorry - I am sure the villa at WH is very nice, but we much prefer a base at either the Formosa Gardens or Poinciana Boulevard area just off the 192.

Thanks for that. I have had a look at the disney area map and I can see what you mean. Back to the drawing board then! Hate this part of it, trawling through hundreds of villas trying to find the one for us with the right dates at the right price. I enjoy the rest of the planning process but worry that when we get there it won't be as good as it looks. Having said that we have been twice and both villas were lovely.

Hi,

I have the same opinion as JohnnySharp on the US27 - although I'm sure others will consider it a great location.

We rent a 3 bed villa for 3 weeks in July and I've never paid more than £1200 although I've never got for one with all the luxuries (jacuzzi etc) and I always book about 1 year in advance so most villas are available.

We use www.orlandovillas.com and www.villas4all.co.uk - both these have the facility to send your dates to all villa owners. When I booked I was flooded with replies and basically I just delete anything over £1200 and the ones I think are too far away and then pick from the remaining.

I fully agree with what TartanGirl has said (we always seem to agree with each other) :)
Her advice is good and also Jennie, if you check my first reply and the websites I list I am sure if you search on Indian Creek you will find a nice one.

The homes here are fairly new, and less than 5 minutes from the junction of the 192, you have a Publix supermarket a mile up the road, an abundance of restaurants plus Disney/I4 close by.

For me it is the ideal development.
Please feel free to PM me if you need any help ;)

Hi Again,

Thank you both. I have filled in details on both the sites you suggested Tartangirl and have seen a few on the sites Johnny suggested and have asked for availability/price. Sit back and wait now I guess.

Jennie
