Booking a suite for an informal get-together?

(This is a bit of a cross post from the Resorts board).

DH and I are going to plan a multi-family trip around our anniverary in a few years. We don't want to do a vow renewal, just maybe book a suite and have 20 or so friends and family there for an informal cocktail-style party. Similar to what I know a lot of brides do as a "welcome party."

Did you plan this type of event? Can you share any details? What suite did you use? What was the view like? What type of food did you have? Did Disney cater or did you bring it in yourself? How much was the suite per night?

I have been checking out websites and I really like the Contemporary's one-bedroom suite. I also think the Swan/Dolphin has some nice ones as well.
