Is it possible/straightforward to book through Disney Travel company to stay in two different resorts? We'd like to go back in Sept 2010 and will have 2 children with us by then so am tempted to try out SSR seeing as the price is so good. But our hearts lie at the GF and would really want to end our stay with a few nights there.

Do I need to make 2 separate bookings? And if so how does this affect flights when booked as part of a package? And tickets/DDP, etc?

Sure lots of you know the answer but we have only ever done 14 night Virgin packages, staying in one resort.

I don't believe its possible, I am sure I read to qualify for free DDP you have to stay in 1 resort, if you move resorts you have to buy tix again to qualify for the free DDP.
Someone will correct me if wrong but thats what I read.

Yes, Wayne is correct. You can have free DDP but you will have to book tickets for each hotel stay. There might also be a minimum stay as well, but not sure about that.

That said, if you have a ticket for the first hotel stay, and there are days left over, you can have it transferred to the new hotel KTTW, so the ticket isn't wasted. And then if you stay at the GF for a few days it might not be too bad if you don't have free DDP whilst you stay there.

Another consideration is that Disney will transfer your cases for you. Alll you have to do is go out for the day and arrive at the new hotel later in the day and your bags will be there. We did it last time and thought it was so easy, we are changing hotel 3 times this stay!!;)
