Booking a room-adding diningand tickets??

Where did you find the rate. If you got just room only, you have to cancel those room rates to go with the dining and tickets which is then called a Package Deal. If it is the basic package, then you can add on.

Ok, I found through a local travel agency Port orleans riverside for $778 for 7 nights. I guess I can't add on the tix and dining plan with that rate??

Go on the disneyworld website and select room only. They will let you add stuff on. I priced out a room at Poly for 6 nights and then added my tickets and the dining plan. It was about $20 cheaper than what we paid when free dining was offered.

Yes, with this September's discounted rates you can add the tickets and the dining plan. You can add it through your TA or go online and go through the special room only rates link as Ella's Mom suggested.
Edited to clarify: your reservation would begin under the "room only" category, but after adding the tickets and dining plan it does become a package as previously mentioned (I should read all of the replies before posting! ) It can be "added" at the original time of booking, not sure if you can go back and add to a room only reservation (which is what OhMari was saying).

When i go to the site, it will only allow me to add items to the rack rate room. When i click on resort only with the special offer of 64, its not letting me add on anything

When you go to Disneyworld.com are you clicking on the text that mentions the $64 rate? After clicking on that link you should put your dates in and number of people. Then it will take you to a screen to choose your resort (these are showing the rack rates). If your resort is available at the discounted rate for your dates, then it will give you a total with the discounted rate on the next screen (if the discount is not available, then you will get a total using the rack rate). It will also ask you on that same "total price" screen if you would like to add tickets. After you add tickets it will allow you to change your package to a MYW package + dining. It just depends on if the discount is available for your dates. What dates and resort are you looking at?
