Does anyone have any experience purchasing a DW Room Package through Trip Advisor?

We have booked a bounce back package at the WL for 9/12 – 9/17/14. I have purchased airfare with Southwest. Also we have 6 day standard park tickets. We have now decided that we would like to extend our trip until Saturday 9/20/14 but really cannot afford to continue our stay at WL. Oh my the options that we have. Should we stay onsite but at a value resort? Should we stay offsite and rent a car? There are only 2 adults in my party and we are very flexible.

A couple of questions I have:
Is it possible to reschedule our return flight until Saturday? Does SW charge for this change?

If we decide to stay offsite I’m sure we cannot use ME to return to the airport, is that correct?

If we stay offsite I feel I would need to rent a car. I have researched where Alamo has locations near the Disney property. Can I pickup there and drop off at their location in the airport? I have never rented a car before and am unsure of the process.

I have researched the availability of resorts during these dates through the Disney website. It says nothing is available, however through Trip Advisor Pop Century is available for these dates. Does anyone have any experience booking through Trip Advisor? Please elaborate if so.

Also, I was wondering if we could use our park tickets during the 2nd leg of our stay especially if we stay offsite or do we have to use them during the Disney resort portion of our stay?

I appreciate all of your input and advice.

SW doesn't charge a change fee, but you'll be responsible for any cost difference.

Correct.

Yes.

Tickets aren't tied to a package so yes, you can use them. The only stipulation is that they expire 14 days after first use.

Hopefully someone else can chime in about TA as I've no experience there.
