booking a disney wedding

hi all
we are planning on getting married at disney and i am thinking of booking it direct with disney, my question is how far in advance can you book? and will i get the date i want confirmed when i book?
i am sure that i have read somewhere that you can book 18 months in advance i would greatly apreciate any help and advice

Well, that will depend on if you plan to book an intimate or a custom. Usually, you can book 1 year in advance. Some reception locations (custom) will require you to wait until 8 months prior to book. This allows time for any large conventions to be booked. There are certain locations that conventions are not held and those can be booked at the one year mark as well. My suggestion is to call Disney Fairytale Weddings (321-939-4610) and have them send you the new information package.

i have just rang disney and they say you can book 12 months in advance and they are sending me out the brochure
