Hi all.

Does anyone know if the call centre can process a booking using an offer from another country.

I messed around a few weeks ago, wasn't 100% sure I'd be able to go and eventually missed the 50% flash sale (and the discount wasn't insignificant seeing as we want to stay in the DLH)

We want to go next Sunday (16th) and the Danish site has 1 night free, working out around £950 whereas UK site is £1350.

I've tried booking online but it just declines every time (Entering the address details but leaving the country as Denmark, as that cannot be changed anyway)

I've done this before booking BBWWS tickets, so I'm confident it's not something I'm doing wrong.

I didn't call the normal brochure booking line to book using the French offer instead of the UK one, I called Guest Services in France (cheaper than the brochure booking line because its a French landline so you can use a cheap discount dial number first to get the call cheap ;)).

I was able to book using the French site offer no problem this way - and I believe the French site has the same offer as the Danish site at the moment.

eta - i wonder if its an automatic block your bank has put on the transaction, trying to do it online? Its classed as a foreign transaction, and it will be a lot more than you paid for BBWWS tickets, so maybe your bank has blocked the transaction? I called my bank before I made the booking with the French site, maybe thats worth a try?

I'm in the USA. On Monday, I was able to book my June package on the French site as it was about $300 net better than the USA or other country options. My credit card was billed. I've got my confirmations, although in French.

Now, I'm getting nervous as my second emailed confirmation says my documents will be mailed about two weeks before I arrive. Lots of problems there as I will be on the DCL TransAtlantic on my way there AND like the OP, I had to put my address, but couldn't change the country nor add my state. What ever they are going to mail isn't going to get to me.

What do they mail? Do I really need it? I just booked a resort, park tickets and Half Board Plus package; I'm doing all of my transportation, transfers and insurance independently. Have I messed up?

If you booked using the official DLP site they dont send anything at all in the mail, your emailed booking confirmation is all you need as you are given your hotel key, park tickets and meal vouchers when you check in.
i,ve never received a second email like yours unless i,ve amended my booking, and its never mentioned sending anything in the mail.
maybe you should call guest services at DLP to confirm you will get everything when you check in ~ if only to set your mind at ease.

I had this problem last year when booking - my UK bank stopped the transaction going through on the UK DLP site, but then placed a hold on my account (!) - cue a week of intense nervousness while I waited for several hundred pounds to come back into my account.

Following advice from DLP to try a different card I then booked on the UK DLP site (leaving country as UK) using a card issued by a bank outside of the UK and didn't have any problems...

Similar to what DLPdaft has said - last year when I booked I only had to show the confirmation + passport/etc at hotel check-in, and that was when they gave me room keys, park tickets and HBP vouchers. This was with a booking on the DLP UK site with a non-UK card, so the first half of the address was a non-UK address and the country was UK. Didn't have any problems whatsoever with this.

But again - if you're worried you can call/email, I've found them to be extremely helpful both over the phone and through email (though it sometimes took a while for me to get a reply by email).
