Booking a cruise with points, what are my chances?

I just had to cancel our trip that was scheduled for 2 days from now, as my DH is still looking for a job. So all of my 2002 and 2003 points went into a holding account. I have changed my Delta flights to January 9th.
Since I have to wait 60 days prior to arrival to book anything, what do you think my chances for 2 connecting cat 10 rooms will be (I'll be using points, have already figured that part all out) for the Jan. 10th Eastern Magic cruise booking it 60 days in advance?
If I can't get that, do you think I'll have a pretty good chance of getting a 2 br lockoff at BCV for that time period? Thanks everyone!

It is very hard to speculate on whether or not either of these two choices might be available for you 60 days out. You may very well find two category 10 rooms but perhaps not connecting. I would probably come up with a few other possibilities just in case. Good luck, I hope hope you obtain the ressies you want!

Thanks Carol. Ya, I'm not putting my hopes too high for the cruise, but either way, how can I go wrong. If I'm at WDW or cruising, it sure is nice. thanks!

I'd guess that your chances are better getting the cruise than BCV at 60 days out but in either case, I'd venture you overall chance of getting one or the other at or just over 50/50. If you add the other DVC resorts, your chances will go up signficantly. OKW may very well be all that is available.

Dean, thanks, but are you sure that is the case with mid January? You really think my chances are slim for BCV? I thought Jan. was a slow month.

Yes I do but it never hurts to try. Remember that BCV is the newest resort and is smaller than all but VWL.

ok. Hey, since I haven't even seen ANY of the villas yet, I'd take anything and I know we'll be happy. Especially since all we have ever known is 5 of us inside a POR room and we were always thrilled. So whatever happens we'll be just fine. Thanks for your thoughts.

I've seen them all and stayed at all but BCV and they still thrill me. The only issue if I were in your position was not having a car for OKW.

Sounds great. Since all we have ever known is the bus transportation, we wouldn't worry too much about not having a car. In fact, given the choice, my DH would never drive. I know what you mean though, sometimes the wait can be long, but we would still take the buses over driving.
I'm just crossing my fingers for staying at the BCV's. I called MS this morning just for the heck of it, and she says there is plenty of availability for Jan. I know, doesn't mean a thing at this point, but it kinda made my day. We shall see.
