I'm staying at the Staybridge Suites on I-Drive in Sept 2009 and not renting a car. I want to book a coach trip to Kennedy Space Centre through our travel rep. I don't plan on attending a long and unnecessary welcome meeting as this will be my sixth visit to Orlando, but first without my parents. Can I still meet with my rep during my stay and book a trip, or is the welcome meeting the best place to do this?

Has anyone ever booked coach trips in this way and has any advice? Do the trips run daily or only on specific days?

Many thanks. :yay:

Who are you going with - I think with Virgin you can prebook and I think thjey have a contact tel no for when you are there.

The last time we went we booked through the reception desk of our accommodation - we stayed on I.D. It worked out cheaper than booking through Virgin. The reception area just had lots of leaflets about all the attractions available and we picked the ones we wanted and the receptionist booked them and took our money. Not sure if this would be an option rather than using a tour operator?

I'm booked with Thomson.

Booking through the hotel sounds great, I hadn't thought about that. Thank.

We did it this way too, ( from Comfort Inn LBV )we were lucky to have an excursions desk opposite our hotel reception, the staff were very helpful and cheaper than using a travel agent to organise it from the UK. I think the price all included was $250 for the three of us. The bus picked us up right outside the hotel then we picked up others from another two locations then we were on our way. We had a tour guide who really did make the day fun for the kids but we did have time away from him for lunch :thumbsup2 We loved it, we did the bus tour which was awesome and at the end of the day we met at the designated zone and caught the bus back to the hotel we were dropped off at the hotel reception area again.
I would not hesitate to book the trip this way again next time we want to go.
