People on the TGM boards are debating whether or not you can book ADR's 190 days out with the 180+10 rule. Some are saying they actually called at the 190 day mark and were able to get ADR's. Others says the CM's firmly said no. Has anyone on here ever been able to book 190 days out? Is this something I should try? I was under the impression that 180+10 meant your first day plus ten days in the future.

I was wondering this too. I had the same impression as you. According the the PS calculator, my 180 mark is supposed to be tomorrow, Friday. However, yesterday, when I logged onto the My Disney Vacation section of Disney's website it was saying only 181 days until your next vacation! Going by this my 180 mark would have been today, Thursday.

I then called Disney Dining yesterday to see which day I should call, Thursday or Friday. The lady then said let me see and she said I could make my reservations NOW! I ended up making all of my reservations yesterday, on Wednesday! Making them on Wednesday would have put me either at the 181 or 182 day mark.

So I am not really sure what the right answer is. Did I get a reservation agent who didn't know what she was doing? Is it 190 days for resort guests? Just plain old luck? Who knows....

I've been reading all these threads about this and it just kills me! I wonder if I call on the 190 day and get a CM *in the know* who doesn't let me book, if I can try my chances with another CM later in the day. Due to all this conflicting info, I think I will try just that.

Ok, I've been going to disney my entire life and I'm familiar w/ the 180 days out rule, plus 10 days of your vacation (to save you from calling everyday). After reading all of these threads, I decided to give it a shot. My 180th day is tomorrow. When I made my hotel reservation, the CM told me that my 180th day was March 30th. I have it written down on every calendar I own. After reading these threads, I just picked up the phone and called. Can someone explain why I was able to book all of my ADRs just now. Its 181 days out.

So, my advice is to try earlier than you thought. I just made all of my ADRs and now I get to sleep in a bit!!!

P.S. My check in date is 9/26, so if any of you have that same check in date and read this in the next hour before they close, I suggest trying to make your ADRs. I guess w/ all of the confusion between CMs, you might not have the same luck, but its worth a try. :confused3

American pie: I too am checking in on 9/26. I thought my call in date was going to be 4/30 as well. But when I called yesterday they let me make all of them. I hope you got everything you wanted and I didn't take anything away from you:)

Tried to book 190 days out and was completely unsuccessful. The CM was very nice but told me I would have to wait until the 17th. :worried:

If anyone else has luck with dates from 10/14 to 10/20, please let me know!

well honestly, if you're told no, you could call back and get a totally different CM who might say yes.

i know i've mentioned this on TGM. not that it can be done, but why it can be done.

180 + 10, as it's been mentioned, means you can call 180 days from your check-in and make ADRS for up to the next 10 days. it does NOT mean 190 days out.

that said, many CMs go simply by what the computer lets them do. Evidently they're either not keeping track of (or paying any mind to) what date 180 days from today is. if it's in the computer, they're booking it for anyone with a reservation #.

remember that if you're 183 days out, that 183rd is part of the 10 days for someone checking in a week before you (and then some) - thus it's available in the computer. if the CM isn't checking the dates, the computer is allowing to book it.

it's probably just a matter of time until it's corrected, but... book at over 180 at your own risk.
