Bookin our vacation

My husband, myself and my 3 sons are planning a WDW vacation next Spring Break in April 2008 and we are planning on staying at the resort. When is the best time to book our hotel reservations. I don't want to wait to long and not be able to a room(since Spring Break is usually busy I am assuming). Also I have heard that we might be able to stay at the Disney's Sport resort with 5 people now in one room, has anyone hurd the rumor as well? Thanks!!!

The value resorts are limited to 4, unless the 5th is under 3 and is in a pack n play
