Booked wrong guest number for BOG

I logged onto our account and the standard 2 guests auto-populated when I was searching for reservations. A BOG dinner reservation showed up so I snagged it and didn't realize until I got to the booking part that it was only for 2. I went ahead and went through with it and planned to go back and add 2 more after the fact for fear of losing it. Well of course I couldn't add 2 more. My question is, do you think we should take our chances...we have 2 adults, a child and 2 yr old in our family. What are our chances of getting seated if we show up that day (12.19). Will they turn us away? If anyone has one that they may cancel on this day please let me know!

They do actually have 2 seat tables so you might have trouble. I would try calling to see if there's anything they can do to help. And keep watching for a larger ADR.

I would call and see if they can add two to your reservation - or see if they can find a 4 person reservation and then cancel the 2 person one - they DO have a TON of 2 person tables

You can call and see if you can modify your reservation, but chances are slim because BOG is one of the hardest reservations to book. If there isn't a reservation for 4 available you can ask if there is another table for 2 at the same time. BOG often will not check anyone in more than 5 minutes before their reservation so if you have two reservations they need to be very close in time. If nothing is available when you call, keep checking online to see if a reservation for 4 or 2 comes up. If you find another reservation for 2, you can request to be seated together when you check in at the podium. Cancellations occur all the time and you have five months to keep checking. You can subscribe to the December cancellation thread stickied at the top of this forum.

Showing up with 2 extra would be a last resort because there is the possibility that two in your family will be turned away or if you all choose to walk away you will be charged the no show fee for the reservation you do have. Although BOG is a large venue, the dinner capacity is based on how many meals the kitchen can prepare and plate at any given time. The week you are going is the start of Winter break/Christmas vacation for many so DW will be busy.

I would not count on them letting 4 people in on a reservation for 2. If they did that all the time it would lead to chaos. You have plenty of time to find a different reservation. As others have said call to see if they can do anything. If not, keep looking. I used the free reservation finder on TouringPlans.com to find my Askerhus reservation. It took about 2 weeks but I got a text (and email) when one opened up and was able to snag it.

Don't chance a meltdown. Bag your ADR and start over. It's not worth stressing till day of.

Keep trying for a reservation for 4. Would hate to see 2 get turned away and when we went to dinner at BOG last Nov. we saw that happen.
