Booked with Hawthorn Suites LBV.....cancelling the Hampton Inn & CBR

I think , from other posts, that the Lake Buena Vista location is better
than the 192 locale so I am cancelling Hampton Inn on Parkway Blvd and
going w/ Hawthorn. They sent me a brochure and it looks very nice.

I was offered a promo deal for CBR for $838 total (8 nites in oct)
but $592 for Hawthorn seems like a better deal, esp. with the free hot breakfast.
I like to sit down in the morning and discuss our day plans over breakfast.

What do you think?

Will you have a car or are you using the hotel shuttle?

Probably my comments won't be appreciated by some but I feel the rooms are bigger offsite and the amenities more prevalent(also for less cash) than on-site. Also, there will probably be stores and restaurants nearby. Off-site gives you more options, in my opinion. I will never forget walking into our room at the Grand Floridian for the first time. We were all expecting quite a 'grand' room for that kind of cash, and we were all very disappointed. The room was nice, but it was small, and really no nicer than any other hotel we had stayed in. We had just moved from the Holiday Inn Express Universal(MUCH cheaper room), and found ourselves wishing we could go back .

i went to hawthornsuites.com and saw new photos there of lbv, seems very nice.
we like the savigns of 250 and interior corridors and a nice breakfast to sit and talk about the days events....

now i just need directions and stuff, !

P..S TO ANSWER THE QUESTION: Yes, we are renting a car.....

I think I would go with Palm Parkway. That is the LBV area location, right?

'Tink, it's hard to make a final decision that is true! But you know, once you do there is a certain element of relief and then you are free to move on to making your other plans.

For what it's worth.... we have stayed at the Homewood Suites on Parkway Blvd twice. It is a great location with easy access to the parks.... never more than a 15 minute drive from parking lot to parking lot as I recall.....HTH................P
