Booked with a AAA discount, but won't have my card for trip...help!

Booked my resort as room-only with no discount (waited too late ). The other day in the mail I received an offer from AAA: if I rejoined, my fee would be half-price. Called WDW, found out that the AAA discount was significant enough to pay the rejoin fee for AAA. Called AAA and rechartered. HOWEVER, the agent told me I would receive my card in 2-4 weeks....what if it doesn't arrive in time?? I DO have a temporary (paper) card with my name on it (that came with the offer in the mail)...will the number on this card work? I would hate to have the CM type it in and it not show my membership!! Maybe if I showed them my confirmation email?

Anyone have experience with this sort of situation?

They took my AAA number when I booked a RO at BLT. I had the temp paper card and my real cards, but they didn't ask for either at check in or out last week. The temp paper card should be just fine if they ask.

Call and make sure that number you have is your number (it may not be, because what would prevent any recipient of a similar mail offer from using the paper card in the offer for discounts - without joining.

Call AAA customer service - get the number for your region online - and ask what to do. Terms and conditions require proof of eligibility for a discount; you don't want to be caught short if the CM asks.

I misplaced my card at one time. I went on AAA website, and printed out my membership information. Disney was happy with that.

I used to work at AAA and the paper temporary card they give you is the same number that will appear on your permanent card. I don't know how Disney works the AAA rates specifically, but most hotels just match your AAA card up with a photo ID to verify its you, check the AAA expiration date and that's it. They don't use the actual membership number for anything.
