Booked the DVC Member Cruise 2008!

Well I am booked on the 2008 DVC Member Cruise! The wait time was up to 60 mins but down to 40 now. Only category 3 sold out thus far.

My mother and I are booked. My mother did the 2007 DVC Cruise and four other cruises. I only did a 4 day cruise back in 2004 but never a DVC cruise.

I had busy signals for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Then when I FINALLY got an automated machine I was listening to it for 25 minutes.

The girl was in an extreme rush and only asked for my first choice. She booked it without me even being able to ask for my 2nd choice. Also she never asked for our Castaway club # and we forgot to tell it to her because she had to give that long talk on a list of things. Does anyone know if I can call DVC on Monday to give them the numbers? I got busy signals trying to call again.

We are on Deck 2 which doesn't bother me that much. I did hear back in 2004 that the ship is less rocky down below but I am wondering about noice. I really wanted Deck 7. But I also think of it this way. My father had my mom and I use the 175 points he won on this year's DVC Member Cruise (thanks Dad).

Good luck to anyone who was able to get through. It is hell. I think I would rather go to the dentist instead of that long wait.

Sorry to hear about your DH and hope he is doing better now!

The cruise has now sold out of Cat 6, 7 and 3 I believe. If anyone is interested I would get on the phone right away. Most are anticipating sell out by the end of today.

I called MS to add a day to my Oct trip, and low and behold... member cruise booking is today!! lol

As of now the member website is reporting availability in categories 4, 5, 9, 10 and 11 with limited availability of category 12.

Booked category 9 this morning. Completely forgot about booking over the weekend with my parents visiting and driving me and the wife crazy all weekend. Looking forward to September. This will be our first cruise and it departs on my birthday.

Have fun everyone! Not going next year, but we both are hoping to do a MC again someday! We thoroughly enjoyed the '05 one, glad we did it when we could!

Seeing the beautiful lights on the castle at MK, we decided to ask our family if, just next year, they would want to do a second trip in November before Thanksgiving but late enough to see the lights. Especially if they decide they can do it, we've used DH's vacation time for next year.
