Booked tasting increased?!?

We booked a bourbon tasting on the dream may 16-20th for 28$ but they increased the price to 45$. Do we not keep the original price?? Is it worth calling over has anyone else’s prices also gone up even though you booked at a lower price?

If you already had a reservation (prior to price increase), DCL usually grandfather's those reservations at the old price.

If you booked before the price increase ( i think Apr 19), and it's showing that you are being charged the new price, I'd call DCL and ask them about it.

Not necessarily. We sail August 17th out of Copenhagen. Platinum booking window opened April 19th. The platinums that booked tastings on booking day found a few days later that the prices had all increased on their accounts.

I would not assume that Disney will honour the previous prices.

The price apparently changed effective April 19.

Update: After an hour wait which I know is lucky lol I got ahold of someone from DCL. They said they had no idea about the price increase and it shows 28$ on their end. She made a note that we booked the tasting for 28$ and that is what we should be charged so at the end of the cruise if there is anything we have confirmation with someone that they said we should be charged 28$ and she also advised me to talk to CS once on board to make sure. They don’t see a price increase for any of the tasting on our cruise though may16-20th on the dream.

Just got off the Magic yesterday. When we got to the tastings, we were given a bar receipt that showed $0.00. I was wondering if we would be charged $25 or $45. The receipt was basically so they could get a tip. We were charged $25.

When did you find out when you were charged the 25$? Did you also have a price jump in the app?

I may have missed it but for your specific circumstance - did your booking show the change or did going in to make a new booking show the change in prices?

I booked at 28$ and it was like that for a few weeks. I’ve been going in daily to try to book remy brunch (we got in!!!) but that was also when I noticed the price had changed from 28 to 45$.
