Booked studio now want 1BR

Hello! I don't post much but I read a lot! We're new DVC members. We have a preferred studio at BWV for September. We had to borrow points. We have some friends joining us now and we want to upgrade to a one bedroom. Will I be able to easily do this over the phone? Or will there be issues bc of the borrowed points. We'll have to borrow more for the 1BR.

There won't be issues because of the borrowed points. They have to stay in that use year, but you can use them and reallocate them however you see fit within that time frame.

The issue may be availability. If your plans with the extra people are locked in, call immediately. Don't be surprised if it isn't available. September is late booking, as of this posting. DVC is a markedly different animal than cash reservations with regard to when people commit to trips. Good luck.

It will be easy to do if, and only if, there is a 1BR available, which might be an issue when trying to reserve less than 6 months out. If available, you just tell them that you now want a 1BR and they will cancel the studio, move all the points therein to a 1BR and borrow any additonal points needed. The biggest "hassle" you are likely to have is a long wait for someone to actually answer the phone.
