I just booked the REAS package for our Nov 14 4-day cruise on the Wonder ... I want to surprise hubby for our anniversary or his birthday (June or August) with this ... any suggestions on how I should go about surprising him???

Susan!
Did you use your TA or Disney directly?

I gotta get this done for us too!

Did you end up switching TA's?

I had to switch TAs so I could use my HGVC timeshare points for booking....

DA referred me to my TA to book the REAS package .. "anything that has to do with money has to be done thru your TA" so I called them yesterday & did the booking!!

Now I need to figure out how to "present" this to hubby as a surprise :)

I did this as a surprise for my wife ivanova.
He will know when you enter your cabin as the gift pack is there with the champagne etc. Plus your Palo ressies will be done so you aren't going to have to run and line up for those or spa ressies.
My wife was anxious about us getting in line for the ressies and when she saw the gift pack I told her we could go for a leisurely lunch as it was all done. Maybe not the most romantic way to tell her but she was excited :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

actually, I have an idea...
get a big piece of paper
and make him a special
card...

make it look like paradise
(make a card out of it!)

have you seen those Corona
beer commercials where
you can't see anyone but
you can see their hands
grabbing the bottles of
Corona, sometimes they'll
toss a cell phone into the
ocean...

make it look like paradise
anyway on the front...
maybe put think bubbles
on the front with your names
in them or something...

and on the inside make
it like a certificate for
a massage...

with wording something
like "you and me, DCL
Nov 15th... (or whatever
day you picked) and time
be there for rest & relaxation..."

or something quirky... since
I don't know your DH, I don't
know what words would raise
his eyebrows... try and sound
spunky but romantic too... I guess!

Hope that helps! It's what I
would've done if BF hadn't snooped
in my DCL info I printed out and
figured out what I had planned!

Thanks Heather!!

I do want to tell him before we board .. actually either on our anniversary in June or for his birthday in August .. so the certificate idea would be cute .. I really love the idea of not having to rush to Palo's to make ressies, and if hubby wants a massage in addition to the couple's massage HE can run off to the spa to book it when we board. :teeth:

ha ha ha!

I'm trying to convince my BF that a
massage is not "weird"...
he is very personal and doesn't want
to even use a urinal in a men's room...
he ALWAYS uses the stall! He's freakishly
private and he is leary that a massage
will be too personal...

I have had several here at home, and
I doubt they'd be any different there...
I told him he can leave his shorts on...
I've told him he can request to only
have neck and shoulders done... he
is still leary...

any suggestions for that???

Susan! Let's see, how about a framed "romantic" pin set with accompanying certificate (with cruise info instead of authenticity info)?

Man's opinion.....

I think I'd like to know before, but not too much before. Like maybe the night before, or at breakfast that morning before you get on. Maybe start massaging his shoulders, and then say "I bet they can give a better one on board the ship!"

(Not meant to detract from the mad massaging skills you may have)

On a seperate note, I too, am leary of being only slightly clothed with a strange (probably female) massaging me. Not as leary as your BF goofy4 about other things, but the idea just irks me. I have no doubts as to the spa girls' professionalism.... it must be a guy thing.

thanks goingbacksoon!

makes me know that my guy
isn't the only one!

guess I'm just used to my
ex-h who would've dropped
'trou' on a subway to have
a massage! But he was
much more permiscuous (sp?)
than my current bf - guess
I should be praising him for it
and not thinking it is weird!

It'll all work out!

Thanks for the mans opinion!
All off us estrogen minds could
use a little testosterone every
now and then!:)

Did you book him on the cruise too?
If not, surprising him should be easy! ;)

If you did, then it depends on how much control he expects to have making plans. If he'll let you do it all, you can simply tell him you have planned something else in Central Florida. You can even stay in hotel the first night before telling him. (Arriving a day early is a very good idea anyway.) Then when you get up the next morning, you can tell him about the cruise!

But make sure:
-- he's flexible and likes surprises. A lot of guys don't.
-- he will like the cruise more than the fake plan.
-- you pack the stuff he will need for the cruise.
