Booked package on rundisney??

I booked my package on disneys website. It was marathon package. I called today to try and change a few things and they said I had to be transferred to sports department. When they transferred me they told me I couldn't use pin codes or other discounts that pop up for January. Seems crazy. Guess ill be canceling that reservation when discounts come out because I'm not paying rack rates. I'm just worried all of my good adr's will be lost if I switch to a regular disney package. I woke up at 6am last week to do it. Anyone have this experience or advice.

Your ADRs are not linked to the package so you won't lose them. Anyone even day guest and offsite can book ADRs at 180 so don't fret. Also runDisney's packages are typically the cheapest during marathon weekend. In prior years free dinning and rooms were not included so unless your making the week prior to the marathon your check in date you probably won't get a better deal.

Typically it's not rack rate, there is some sort of discount. We are booked,with the tot 10 miler and got a great deal.

I guess It wasn't rack rate it was about 120 bucks cheaper than if I were to book with Disney right now with no discounts. But I would expect with coming in the 8th leaving the 15th a better offer will come out. Atleast I get to save my dinning reservations that's the most important thing.
