I've been checking prices, and the number of available flights kept shrinking. so I chickened and bought. Not bad though, Saturday departure, Sunday return, no plane changes, and under $900 for the 3 of us. Southwest, so we also get the funny safety briefing.

I have found their prices have almost doubled in the past 2 years. Used to be around $70 each way, now most flights are $120 or more for weekend flights. Airtran still seems to be cheap quite often. Either way you save over Toronto.

We got our flights for the 3 of us, for a tuesday to a monday for $69 one way and $89 another. I love southwest and now they are part of the resort checkin. Don't forget its a huge savings with Bags fly free!

Awesome. I haven't seen too many cheap flights on their site so I am glad to hear that. I just can't justify flying out of Toronto. especially now that I have a child.

When I started flying SW out of Buffalo in 2005 I was paying $29 for a flight in Oct.....yup I was it was amazing. It is crazy how much the prices have gone up.

We snagged this deal as well. Think it ended up being under $200 rt for the 3 of us. This was my first time booking out of the States and I was so worried it was a scam or something. I just couldnt believe it could be that cheap. It was then that the DIS totally hooked me and from then on I've been planning via these boards, flying out of BUF and saving a TON of $$ (although we did buy DVC also largely becuase of the Boards, so perhaps I have not really saved much....but as they say memories are priceless!! LOL)

First flt I ever booked from Buffalo with SW was $19 each way...last one ..just a week ago...was $250 rtn. I am flying Westjet next month for $736for 3 of us return. It's hit and miss these days sadly...

Jetblue is also getting up there in price. 2 of us flew from Buffalo to San Juan about 5 years ago for $400 return--total. Never see that anymore either....

:confused3

They've been part of Resort Check In, for all resorts except SSR and CBR since March 2010.

Wow, do I feel stupid:rolleyes1 Read the boards often daily and missed this since we were there in October. Since we always fly SW, I don't even know how to do the resort check-in. Don't the resorts allow you only one checked bag anyway?

For those flying out of BUF, if you go to the airport website, you can get a coupon for money off preferred longterm parking. We're flying out in the mid-afternoon this time, so we're not doing hotel parking.

has got their bookings opened until February right now. I see $89 for mid week. Seems like a deal to me, though I have not flown them at all. I prefer SWA due to the credits they offer, but would like to try JB one day due to the TV's. Too bad I just got back and have not started thinking of next year yet.

I checked Airtran out of DTW for when the 5 of us go (Mon Jan 31, 2011 - Mon Feb 7,2011) this morning and booked due to the fair prices and flight times. I paid $165.40 per person. We live in London so it's 2 hrs to Detroit or 2 hrs to T.O. so no difference there. I also paid for seat assignments which at $6 per seat per person each way made it work out to $177.00 per person. Even if we all take 1 bag at $15.00 per bag per way that still is only $207.00 per person. This past January I paid $165.00 per person on southwest plus $10.00 per person each way for early bird check in. I figured I did pretty good today as it only cost me $22.00 more per person over the course of a year.:dance3:

I just paid $56 each way with SW for our trip in Nov.:banana:

Not as good as the good old days but a little closer.

So I have been watching flights from toronto and Buffalo for my next trip.

I managed to get a great deal on airCanada out of Toronto believe it or not. It is $500 cheeper than Air tran, and $2000 cheeper than Jet blue. South west doesn't have flights available that far in advance yet.

But we booked out of Toronto, that way if there is a snow storm we know we can get to the airport and we don't have to worry about leaving time to cross the boarder.:goodvibes

But I have to say that my amazing deal dissappeared after I booked it online.

Any idea when JetBlue opens up the schedule into March?

No idea. I am going Feb 24 to March 5. I just booked the one way for now and may just book with Air Tran for the return. Air Tran shows $89 each way on both of those days. I don't m9ind paying a bit more for Jetblue. Air Tran charges $15/bag and Jetblue has a nonstop flight at 9am instead of 1pm which I prefer. So if you don't need Jetblue then try Air Tran.
