Booked Hilton at WDW through Priceline

I am going to a conference and will be staying at the Royal Pacific at Universal. We are flying in a day early so that we can go to WDW. The cheapest on-site room was at the All-stars at 109 and then 160 for a moderate (included taxes). Tried Priceline and got the Hilton for 70 (came to 85 with taxes and fees). Price on their website was 139 plus taxes. This works well, because Hilton is the only one of the hotels in the area that offers the extra magic hour. I am happy.

Good for you! I am going to do Priceline for one night before our April vacation. I am also hoping to visit RPR in August. Enjoy those FOTL privileges!!! And Happy Hour over at Universal.

what are your dates ,im going march 19th i have the grosvenor booked but would be willing to try to bid on priceline if the hilton is coming up around those dates

Karen, sorry I did not see this sooner. We are booked for March 24. Last week, we decided to alter our summer plans and take the kids back to WDW since they can't go with us in March. I took a chance for July 4 weekend and bid through priceline. I started at 55 and went up in $5 increments until I finally got accepted at the Gaylord Palms for 85. I think this is a great price over a holiday weekend. My reservation with taxes and fees was cheaper than one of the Disney MOderates (even with the summer special).

Great price! We just booked the Wyndham Palace (also in Downtown Disney) on Hotwire for $80 per night plus taxes. We have used Priceline before, but this time really wanted to stay in DTD so went with Hotwire to be sure (reviews on their "best deal" indicated the hotel was in DTD and easy walking distance to DTD).
