Booked Hifs - A Few ????

We are booked at the HIFS at that great ent. rate and are looking forward to staying there after reading your reviews. A do have a few questions though:

1. How far of a drive to each park and to DTD?
2. What is the little "gift" they will give to my dd at check in?
3. How early does the breakfast start? (we are there 3 days b/f our cruise and want to pack in as much as we can LOL)
4. Do they participate in EE?
5. Is it really too far to go back and take a pool break in the middle of the day. We are going 12/3 and I know the parks close early, so I don't know if we want to "waste" time at the pool?

Hi

Have just spent three weeks at HIFS so here are your answers

1. It takes 5 minutes.Turn right out of the resort right at the lights and within 1-2 minutes you are on Disney property. Each park is then sign posted individually.

2. A small bag containing a colouring book,crayons and tokens(for use in the games room)

3. 6.30 am

4. No EE

5. As at 1. its only a five minute drive from Disney so no big problem. The pool was open until 11pm which was great.

You will love this resort its great for kids.

5 minutes, a little longer to MK.

A little goodie bag with tokens, crayons ect. Plus the kids have their own check-in.

Not sure, but plenty early to be at any park. The breakfast is plentiful, and food is adequate, but not exceptional.

It would take much MUCH longer to rely on Disney bus transportation back to a Disney resort than it would to drive back to HIFS. We went back everyday, no problem at all

Just a couple of thoughts- You can pack a couple of goodies from the buffet for afternoon snacking and even though go to Disney is a snap, for some reason MANY get lost going back to the HIFS. We used the Marriott World across the street as our beacon, since it's the tallest structure around. Don't forget to let the kids take the train ride around the parking lot.
