yippee!! After much debate we have done it. Plumped for a package booked through Dial a Flight. Flying United from BHX on 11th August to MCO (via) NYC. As it's a "special" birthday for me we have decided to stretch ourselves to 3 weeks. It will be a treat to be able to build in a few rest days.
So.... We are stopping at Hard Rock Hotel for the first 3 nights, then SSR in a 1 bed villa for 10 nights with free DDP and then we have 3 more nights to book in Orlando (not sure where yet but we have DVC points to spend) and then ( and this is my real treat!!!) we are stopping in NYC for 4 nights, again on DVC points.
Flights for next year seem higher than last but we wanted to get something booked and once we got to about a price we felt we could swallow were really pleased that Dial a Flight offered us a package deal so we have only had to put a deposit down with the rest due in June. It's lovely planning in advance but when booking scheduled flights it always a bit scary booking ( and paying) this far in advance with no means of amending if something needs changing before you go.
So our questions are these - anyone got any recommendations for eating at
Universals City Walk. Think I definitely want to try Bubba Gump (and as Hard Rock cafe is one of the DD's favourites I can' t see us stopping in the hotel
and not eating there.)
And anyone with some recommendations for must eat places in New
York......and the best bet for getting tickets to the family friendly shows on Broadway??
Unfortunately we will miss Wayne's DIS meet - but we might just cross at MCO!
