Booked 3 nights for BCV 12/10-13. (I know this is about the 4th or 5th thread I posted this in, but I gotta gloat some. :cool1: )

We'll be flying in (DW, DD8 & me) on Friday night and landing around 10:30. Where should we stay for Friday? Where should we stay the 1st night? DW is not a fan of Pop, but how occupied would it be?

Also, DW turns 40 in December. What would be fun to do for her birthday? HDDR? Cirque? We plan to do MVMCP. Would DD8 enjoy the Candelight Procession?

Will SAB be warm enough to swim in? What about Blizzard Beach?

Any other ideas? Please keep them coming.

Thanks.

Our GG guests who got in on Saturday night last year (December) got a very good rate at ASM, I think it was $59+ and that's where they stayed.

We spent our first evening all together at DTD, (DH and I stayed at SSR for the first night) and people first gathered in our studio for a great buffet dinner, and then we walked to DTD and enjoyed the singing and sites of the season. The food for the buffet was all brought by the guests from their home area, NY-NJ, it was great having the "tastes of home!" So that was something unique for our group, it didn't even seem crowded and there were 6 of us who enjoyed the food.

Disney's resort pools are well heated, and we swam and enjoyed ourselves. Our youngest son and friend (in their 20's) did do BB because they just "had to", nobody else wanted to go, air too chilly.

I personally would like an Illuminations or Wishes cruise for a birthday surprise, my sister would probably like a day at the spa as a present. You know your DW best, what sort of activity would be most special to her?

I would extend the BCV stay rather than change resorts.

For a birthday present, how about a "keys of the Kingdom" backstage tour? We love that one and have taken in several times (it changes). He will get lots of info about WDW that is not generally known. Either that, or maybe a Richard Petty driving experience. DH love that one too.
