I'm new to the forums so I hope this goes OK.
I have booked to camp at Ft. Wilderness Dec 20-26th. I have twins 15 yrs. old. Due to the kids' school we can only go during summer or over the Christmas break. I'm getting concern from some other family members about the crowds and long lines during our scheduled time. So if any of you out there have been during Christmas week....am I INSANE for going then? Or is it really possible to have a nice visit and be able to do lots during that time?
I'm thinking the crowds at Christmas are a little worse than Summer but I like the idea of waiting in line when its 70 degrees at Christmas versus 92 in the summer (my wife does not do well in heat).
Any advice and info on experiences with the crowds at Christmas would be most appreciated. Thanks!
