Booked Cape May Cafe. How Do I Get There???

What if it is a breakfast ADR like we have before Epcot opens? Guess then it's the character breakfast buses from resort?

That's my question too. Staying at Contempory, have 9:05 ADR. Do not want to do a cab. Will have car, but how close do you get to park at BC?? Asking because on our first trip we went to Beaches & Cream, parked at Boardwalk ???? Was hot, walked long way from parking, down some steps, lol, boat was no where close by so decided to walk around the lake area.......thought we would never get there. So wondering if there is a separate parking area for BC closer to Cape May???

We stayed at the POFQ last year during our trip and let me say, going from resort to resort takes some planning. It was a lot more time consuming than we thought. It took almost an hour. We took the bus from DTD to BC. It was fine because we also were at the mercy of Disney Transportation.
This time we are driving and we definitely will drive to all our reservations that are at a resort.

Without hoppers there is another alternative to taking the boat from DHS
- you can take the bus to DTD, then get on a bus for the BC...

We won't have hoppers on our next trip and are planning on spending our first day at AK, then taking the bus to BC to enjoy the Clambake, and then hopping the boat to DHS to catch the bus back to AKV, but now that PP shared the rain experience we will plan to use the DTD buses as our alternate arrangement for transport both ways. :goodvibes

Thanks!!!:thumbsup2

The bus ride from DTD to BC is VERY long. The bus makes a lot of stops and seems to take a different route than the BC to DTD trip. It took us an hour and forty mins. We also had a half hour wait at the DTD bus stop, so it took us over two hours to get back to BC. We're taking a taxi next time. The ride from BC to DTD isn't so bad, only about 20 min.

The great thing about WDW is that you don't have to go into a park to pick up the transportation there. All the transport is outside the gates. No Hopper neccessary. The easiest way to get to the Beach Club from CB is take the bus to DHS and walk or take the boat to BC. Please plan on at least an hour for transport so that you won't be late for your ADR. I love Cape May and usually go there at least once every trip. ENJOY :)

So would it be best to do a park then go to Cape May. If so what are the 2 closest or easiest parks to go to.

you cannot get there directly by boat from POFQ. Unless you take the boat to DTD, then catch a BC/YC boat to the hotel.
the POFQ boat is on the sassagoula river, connecting por, pofq, saratoga springs ( i think or is it old key west?) and dtd
the boat between dhs/ep/epcot resorts is on crestant lake

I did not know there was a boat that runs from DTD to BC/YC... :confused3
I thought it was just the bus...

Where do you catch that boat on either end?

Thanks!

we have a reservation there for our 1st night. we arrive at 1pm and have an adr at 530. we are staying at all star movies. should we go to epcot and then take the bus to the beach club??:confused3

THERE IS NOT A BOAT FROM DTD TO YACHT/BEACH!!! There is only a bus. That bus usually makes several stops also. TL, Swan, Dolphin, Yacht, Beach and Boardwalk. Depending on the time of day, there may be serveral stops between pick up and drop off.

If you are planning on going to a park on your Cape May day, ECPOT is the closest and DHS in second in distance. Keep in mind that you will have to go through the International Gateway in World Showcase (between France and Great Britian) to get to BC. I don't think there is a bus outside of Future World that goes to BC. If you didn't want to go into a park to get to BC, then go to DHS and either walk or take the boat there. That would be the only way to get there from DHS. I wouldn't bother going to DTD, it would be a waste of time.

Try the Oreo Bonbons- they are delish :)

I will be driving to our breakfast ADR @ Cape May. Is there close parking or do you still have to park & then walk around the lake???
