Well, I bit the bullet and did it. Went to WDW in May and stayed at the Swan.. am hooked again!! ( Used to go to WDW alot in my younger days)
I've decided to take two of my nephews (15 and 17 ) for a special Aunt/ nephew trip to WDW when school is out next June. (I'll take the younger two in a couple years when they are a bit older:hippie: )
My brother (their uncle) decided to go too so he can help split the cost :thumbsup2 and do something special for the boys. ( and have fun!!!!:cool1: )
After reading about all the differnt types of rooms, I thought that the AS MU family suites would be the best choice both cost wise and extra bathroom wise!!! It just sounds like a nice way to go to give us all a tad bit of privacy.
Now I'm second guessing myself and thinking that maybe the WL or AKL with the bunk beds would be nice.( I'm kind of a mod- deluxe snob.LOL) Or two SCR rooms... (Or..... a monorail hotel room!!!:wizard: .. ok.. dream on.. maybe not!)
I know things book up fast but I have a bit of lee way until June.
Any thougths?? Are ASMU suites nice? I'm thinking they sound practical. But... the other hotels sound much nicer to me.
Now I'm just pondering the alternatives.
DDP? I'm not sure about that either. Will use ME though.:yay:

Thanks in advance. Now I can run this over in my mind again and again and let the excitement build!! ( and start getting some overtime in!!!:rotfl:
Thanks again,
Liz:dance3:

Congrats!'
That is so sweet that you and your brother are takeing your nephews to Disney.

I am sure you will all have a great time at whichever resort you choose to stay at.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

Here is a little info ......

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no meatle bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Info thread--Pullouts in Family Suites at ASMU with photos of how the pullout is supported.

I just booked a Suite for the end of October. DH & I are taking DD and her DH. We could have booked 2 room with a discount, but we could not be guarenteed that we would have connecting or even close rooms, plus I like having the fridge, microwave and coffemaker. They didn't want to share a room with us, but since this is set up with a door to close between the two room, we should be fine. Since they are paying their own way I had to come up with a cheap alternative. I had been booked at DoubleTreeDTD for the end of September, but DS-in-law couldn't get a few of the days off from work for the days we had booked. He is a City policeman and already had his vacation scheduled for October, so we adjusted our vacation to his and cancelled the DoubleTree since the rate I got for September ended at the end of the month and the new rate was more than double what I had for September even with the Mousesaver rate. Just couldn't justify that on their budget or ours.
I'm looking forward to this vacation. It will be DD's 2nd trip to WDW (she was there with the high school band in 8th grade) and her DH's 1st trip.
I will report on the Suite when we get back.
