Booked Animal Kingdom Lodge-Woo Hoo!!!

Well, I finally booked our WDW vacation!!!!! It was a long time coming and after going back and forth over mods/deluxes, etc-WE FINALLY CHOSE THE AKL-standard Club Level Savannah Kids were so happy when I finally told them I booked! Hubby I'm sure will be relieved, LOL I was driving him NUTS with watching the WDW DVD with resorts Now, we just have to plan out what parks to visit, restaraunt choices, etc. Thanks to everyone on this board for all your feedback, pics, etc. THE DISBOARD ABSOLUTELY ROCKS I've never come here without someone answering a question I've had. We are just so excited and it really came down to wanting a deluxe and the theming, food choices, pool, club level, animals etc that won us out with AKL. We are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and it will be our kids 1st trip and our 1st family trip to WDW so we are ecstatic So..........thanks again and now the countdown is on for summer 2008

I'm exactly like you -- choosing the resort is half the battle -- and it's always a long, exacting process. But now you can relax knowing that you've looked at each resort from every angle and you chose the PERFECT place for your family. Summer will be here before you know it!

We spent our 15th at AKL CL how weird is that. Make sure you tell them it is your 15th anniversary. The day we had our sunrise safari (our anniversary) we got buttons from the safari guide and a card at breakfast. Also when we returned to our room that evening we had a cake (which I didnt ask for just given to us) a basket of little gifts, a toy for the baby, and an awesome towel animal that looked like a camel or maybe a giraffe which my son plays with to this day. I am so happy for your family. I hope you have a fantastic vacation. Enjoy!!! Don and Juanita in IPO are wonderful use them to help with everything.

Thanks to everyone who replied We are so very excited It will be fun looking forward to our vacation at AKL and Disney Thanks for the tips about our 15th, etc. That is so nice you got the unexpected gifts. I don't expect anything, but it is nice to mention and wish That is what Disney is about-making dreams come true, huh? It is also our kids very 1st Disney visit and our 1st as a family going to Disney so we are ecstatic Thanks again all.

I just returned today from my first stay at AKV! I am not an animal lover, but I heart AKL! (Well, we stayed concierge level, so that made it even MORE ooo-la-la!) The lobby is absolutely beautiful. The resort has a great atmosphere, I really loved it. I think you will too! Good luck with your trip!
