OMG I'm in shock

At the weekend DH mentioned he'd like to go back again as this holiday was so good. I just happened to mention that all our APs were valid til at least the end of the year so it would be a lot cheaper and before I know it he's asked me to get some prices for hallowe'en half term.

VA into MCO were coming out really expensive but my wonderful DB managed to find some excellently priced hotline fares into MIA with BA We added an extra day on to account for the travelling and now we're booked

Now I'm looking for a villa - having real problems as this last trip was all about finding the perfect villa - this time price is an important consideration but we're been spoilt & nothing fits the bill so far

We want to do a night at HRH this time - DH wasn't keen on RPR - but prices seem pretty high (double this year!) at the moment.

Also want to do MNSSHP again - it's DD's birthday on Oct 31st - should we go that night when we know it'll be busy or go while it's quieter during the week before?

Last time we flew into MIA the car rental depot was off-site (Dollar) even though we were told by the rental co it was onsite The rental companies still claim it's onsite - anybody had any recent experience?

any recommendations for an airport hotel with parking at heathrow?

i'm so excited - I've never had such a short countdown

Good for you - just think of all the wonderful planning over the next few months (all part of the holiday :surfweb: )

Tracey

Congratulations on booking again :cool1:

We are flying into Miami this year but, unfortunately, we've no prior experience so can't comment on the car rental situation. However, I have it on good authority (where are you Deb?) that there are no rental companies on site at MIA.

On the subject of Heathrow hotels, I asked the very same question a couple of weeks ago - here is the link to the thread and the responses I got :) We haven't made a decision as yet - we are thinking we may give the Renaissance a try, however the Park Inn looked good too.

As far as MNSSHP is concerned, we went twice last year - it was fantastic both times but the second night was considerably busier than the first one. Unless your DD is particularly bothered about oging on her birthday, I would personally try to avoid Halloween night itself and opt for earlier in the holiday.

Hi & Congratulations :)

Am pretty sure that what you mean by "on-site" and what the car rental companies mean by "on-site" are too different things.

You mean "connected to the terminal" (so you don't need to take a bus to collect your car), am I correct? But the rental companies mean within the airport grounds or very close to the airport.

I am pretty sure that there are no car rental companies at MIA that don't require you to take a bus. Yes, some of them have rental counters within the terminal, but you still need to take a bus to go and collect your car: see here - http://www.miami-airport.com/html/car_rentals.html

MCO sort of spoils you regarding rental car pick up - most airports are no way near as convenient :(

Don't worry, though, it wont be long before you are in your car and on your way... :)
