Hello All,

Initially our trip was a total of 4 people (2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant). I had booked 6 days worth of dining based off this.

NOW, we had a family member who changed their mind and wants to go!. So I had to modify reservations for everything, and move it to 5 PEOPLE.

Unfortunately, out of the 9 bookings, 2 cannot be moved due to no availability when I goto 5 people.

My Question is, if I cannot eventually get those ADRs updated from 4 people, and I check in with 5 people, do you think we will get turned away? I'm thinking since 1 of the members is an infant, it's technically 4?

Does anyone have experience with this before?

It will be harder to go from 4 to 5 than it would be if you showed up with 4 on an ADR of 3. That's because you'll need a larger table. Some places might be able to accommodate. Some won't. You need to keep looking for an ADR for 5. If you show up and hope for the best, you need to have a plan for how you'll proceed if they turn you away.

Even with an infant in the mix, I'm sure you'll need space to put a baby carrier, stroller or high chair of some sort.

If you can't modify to 5 guests, try making a reservation for 1 or 2 around the same time. When you check in at the podium, ask if you can be seated together. No guarantees, but they'll try their best to accommodate you.

Everyone needs to be accounted for, even an infant, and they can't go above due to fire code regulations. You could try for 6 instead of 5 because the system doesn't love odd numbers or try to make ADRs for 1 or 2 and see if they can seat you together. I will say to be prepared to possibly be turned away if you show up with more people or to have sit separate.

Keep trying with the app. Call the restaurant, that has worked for us. We have stopped at a restaurant to change the number attending. We have used the front desk at our resort. We have used reservation finder with touring plans.
while this has not happened frequently, it has happened enough, that we have learned many ways to try and change it. Given that, it doesn't always work.
it is much easier to have fewer, than more guests.

This has happened to us before, and while there is no guarantee, we were not turned away. I would keep trying to change, but if you can't get anything for 5, I would just let them know you did not include the infant.

The one to be concerned about IMO is GG. It is not the size of 1900 PF, so if they are booked, they are booked. PF is larger and has more room to configure tables, I think.

Kept trying. The baby counts, and therefore, they will see you as a party of 5, and not 4. I woudl look for a party of 2 or 1.

They don't care if you "Forgot" the infant. You are over the number of your ADR. That is terrible advice for the OP.
OP keep trying for another ADR. I would try for 6. It doesn't matter if only 5 go.
You need a Plan B for what the 5th person will do if they can not seat you all.
I agree with @Nancyg56 Garden Grill is definitely a problem, 1900 PF probably ok

This question comes up several times a week, so it is not an unusual situation that diners want to add people to their party when they arrive. I imagine the check in CMs must get this request several times a day. I have no personal experience, but from what I read, they will accommodate you if they can. But if the restaurant is full to occupancy numbers, the extra person will be turned away. And I believe many of the popular places must be filled to capacity pretty often. Try if you want, but have a backup plan in place. Or just move the meal to a place that has an adr for your correct party size.

try looking for a Ressie for 6 not 5. I have read where a number of pep[le couldn't get on for an odd number of people but got one for the even number. no charge for showing up with less people
