I am looking for new easy chapter books for my 7 year old daughter.
She had read alot of Junie B. Jones, Amelia Bedelia and Judy Moody books.
I just got her a Nate the Great Book and she really likes it - mostly because it was a mystery book. Someone at work suggested the Amber Brown books by Paula Danzinger, but they seemed to focus on divorce, although I have not read them.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

The Magic Treehouse books are fun.

YES, my sons loves those - neat little adventure/mysteries. And ther are 30+ of them. I wish he wasnt asleep because when we were at the book store last week getting one there was another similar series that he wouldnt look at...he said "all the girls like that one...":lmao: I'll ask him tomorrow and if no one here has said it by then (probably someone will - people here are GOOD!) I'll post it too.

My 7 year old son loves Magic Treehouse, Jigsaw Jones, A to Z Mysteries and Ready Freddy series books. :) I actually really enjoy listening to him read them to me also! :goodvibes Oh and Geronimo Stilton books he has been enjoying as well.

Third on the Magic Treehouse series! My 7 YO nephew got these for Christmas and is plowing through them. So far, his reviews are very positive. He read three over the school break.

If she likes Judy Moody, she'll probably like the Katie Kazoo series. There's probably 20 or more of them now!

My DD7 loves the Fairy books by Daisy Meadows. She's reading the Rainbow Fairies series now--she has one book left. She also has the Weather Fairies, but hasn't started them yet.

They are fairly simple, second grade level chapter books, maybe 65 pages or so... The Rainbow Fairies get thrown out of the fairyland and onto Rainspell Island by Jack Frost (he puts his evil spell on them...) Fairyland will be gloomy and gray without the Rainbow Fairies... There are books (and fairies) for each color of the Rainbow (ROYGBIV). The first book is Ruby the Red Fairy.

The story line revolves around two girls on vacation on Rainspell Island who find Ruby and then agree to help her find her sisters.

These are now complex pieces of literature, but my daughter loves them! My daughter also read Miss Daisy is Crazy and Mr. Klutz is Nuts and thought they were okay. She likes the Cam Jansen series, too. Good luck!!

I was going to say the same thing!!!

DD7 loves those also! Disney also has a line of Fairy books out that DD7 loves. They are a bit harder though. Also, she has gotten into The American Girl books. They are also a bit harder.
