Book out on towel animal folding!

Re-live, or anticipate, your WDW stay with a book on "Towel Origami!" I have no association with the book or the company that sells it, but when the catalog came to my house with the book on the back cover, I thought I had to share the details here! Please note, also, that I have not purchased it yet so I can't vouch for how good the instructions are, but what the heck (it can't be that hard, right?)--

company is www.signals.com (this is affiliated with public television -- I have shopped from them in the past and have found them to be reputable)

book is "The Lost Art of Towel Origami" -- item # hc6162 $14.95

The description in the catalog says "...create an elephant, monkey, ladybug, palm tree, lotus flower, spinning windmill, skyscraper, and more."

The obsession with towel animals at WDW cracks me up! We've received - and totally enjoyed - towel arrangements, but life is good even if we don't get any!

Last year, we stayed in a little motel way up in Maine for a wedding. Imagine our shock when we returned to find the best darned towel elephant!

For those who have children who have been disappointed in the past, our Mousekeeper at Hilton Head last week had a great arrangement that would be easy to duplicate. She formed a bath towel into a circle and then used two hand towels, also in circles, to form ears. Voila - a hidden Mickey!! It was spread out on the bed in the master bedroom. I think a mom or dad could easily do this after kids had left the room, in order to make sure there was something fun to see when they came back to the room later.

I bought a could of towel origami instructional DVDs online recently and loved them. Found it a lot easier to learn by watching it than reading a book on it. Was going to post a link but it won't let me. The company name is FoldingMagic so I'm sure you could find it online.

Yes, I made the elephant! I need to try the Mickey towel you mentioned.
