We just returned and so of course we are ready to book yet again. :) I just did pricing for November 2011 and wonder if I should go aheand and book before the rates go up again or just hold off and book if/when a free dining offer comes out.

Anyone know how much of a price difference to expect between now and then?

Book now and be paying on it and if free dining comes out call back and have it applied if possible to current ressie

If I was to book now...then prices go up...then free dining offer comes out...I then call to apply offer to reservation - I'd have to book it at the higher rates, right? I can't "lock-in" hotel & ticket rates and then make changes to it, without getting a new price quote reflecting new higher prices, right? (Obviously my total would go down, but the ticket and/or hotel rate might be more). Right?

I would book now, and then if a better offer comes, you can always cancel and take the better offer...I'm sure between now and your trip Disney will definitely come out with new offers. But if you want to make sure you get a room then book now.

I'm not really worried about not getting a room...I was just wondering if I needed to "lock in" the current room rates and ticket prices. Is that true? Or was the above poster correct in that I will have to book with the new rates anyway in order to apply a free dining promo?

Clear as mud? ;)

The rates won't change. Disney's hotel and package prices are already set for 2011. Your rate will only go down if they come up with a discount offer during your planned travel time. So you are safe to book now!

Rack rates for 2011 were announced in Aug 2010. Those rates will not change. Worst case scenario is you will be paying rack rate. There will be no difference if you book now or 5 months from now. What will make a difference is if a special promo is announced for your dates. You can book when the promo is announced, or book at rack rate now and change your ressie if/when a promo comes out.

If you plan on booking a package..room, tix etc..you need to give a $200 deposit. 45 days before your trip, you will have to pay in full. If you are booking a room only, you need to give a deposit of a one night stay. Im not sure when full payment is due with room only.

I was going to say the same thing. Once they announce the next year's rates, they will not go up. If you are sure of you dates, I would go ahed and book. I have booked my last three trips as sooon as they open up that year because it gives me more time to pay off the vacation. I have been able to apply discounts to all 3 trips without a problem. This year I was able to use the 40% code! 40 days till be hit the BC:cool1:

Ticket prices may change though, usually happens in Aug. I would book if you are going anyway and want a specific resort/room.

I agree about booking the specifc resort/room category you want so you can get it and later on keep looking at the WDW website to see if there any special offers that might be released.

Ok. Thanks for the advice. I was thinking park tickets go up every August and I wasn't sure about the room rates. I'm *hoping* to apply free dining again. For a family of 5, that is our discount jackpot. :)
