Book now for March break of wait??

I've been checking out air fare prices for the last month. I should have booked out of Cleveland for $130 Canadian March Break (sat to sat). The flight is now up to $150. Frontier has seats for under $140 but then you pay for bags and seat selection. not sure if I should wait a little longer or book ...we are from
southern ontario and willing to drive about 4.5 hours to an airport. I booked a flight out of Pittsburgh two years ago for only $99 two weeks out. I only did that because I wasn't sure if I had the week off. Do flights typically drop three months out or closer to the date of travel???

In my recent experience flight prices don't come down last minute like they used to. Fares tend to be the cheapest further out, especially during busy times. The airlines have cut capacity and are flying every flight almost full so there's no reason for them to discount last minute fares. I booked my Ontario March Break flights several months ago and the fares are now almost triple what I paid.

Flight prices don't go down at the last minute; they only increase, unless there is a special sake (almost unheard of these days).
