Book now and lose upcoming deal?

Right now, DH and I see Disney deals only up to October 10 or so. We are going in early December. If we have to book character meals 180 days in advance, that's now-ish. Ack! BUT we would like to wait to book our trip based on an advertised Disney deal. My question is: if we book our trip now (and through who?) and a discount room promotion comes along later, do we still get it? OR, if we wait to book our trip, can we book character meals now?

Yup, we do this all the time. Once we know we want to go we book and then pray for a pin code!

They will honor it if the hotel you are booked at has availability with that promotion - if not you would have to switch dates/hotels if you wanted to go with the promotion.

Not always. As PP mentioned, the OP's dates, resort, and room category must be available for the specific promotion in order to apply any discounts that may be released.

OP, you can book dining reservations without having a resort reservation. I would recommend booking your ADR's now, then booking your resort when/if a promotion is released.
